Why is toenail fungus more common?

Toenail fungus is more common than fungus under the fingernails. The reason being that warm, sweaty feet in shoes are unable to breathe and this creates the perfect breeding place for fungi.

toenail Fungus VS fingernail fungus infections

There is no difference between toenail and fingernail fungus infections. Fungi is present everywhere, and they especially adore dark, moist and warm places – this being said, what better place to grow than inside shoes, under loose nails?

Preventing toenail fungus is important, and once your nails are infected, it can be extremely difficult to address it effectively. If you don’t, you will be left with unsightly, damaged and loose nails. What causes toenail fungus? The fungal infection in your toenails is caused by organisms known as dermatophytes, that feed on keratin (the protein found in your nails and hair). Once your nails are infected, it will get worse rapidly if left untreated.

Loose Nails are often the forerunner of fungal infected nails.

What is the difference between a typical antifungal
and Fix-4-Nails®

By inhibiting enzymes, a typical antifungal causes destruction of the nail fungus by the eventual breaking down of the fungus’s cell membranes. This is different from what we find with Fix-4-Nails®.

Fix-4-Nails® is a unique formula that works on the conditions underneath the nail, directly on the nailbed, to ensure favourable conditions for the regrowth of healthy, fungus free nails. “The ideal conditions for nail-regrowth created by Fix-4-Nails® under the nail is thus the secret of its success in ‘restoring by re-growth’ of loose and/or fungal damaged nails.”

Toenail fungus – Degenerated nails

fungal infections of the nails

Why is it essential to treat the nail fungus and a loose nail condition simultaneously?

Imagine a jogger has two big toenails that are loose, (separated from the nail bed), one with a fungal infection and the other one just loose, and they are treating the infected nail with very effective modern-day, oral, anti-fungal medication. Once the anti-fungal treatment is complete, the nails are both free of fungus, but they will still be loose and still look the same.

What has been achieved? Both nails are still loose and unsightly, although free of fungi. Why? Because the nails were treated as fungal infected nails and the fact that they were loose, (separated from the nail bed), was ignored.

This is the reason why people often wrongly assume that the anti-fungal treatment prescribed by the doctor was not effective; simply because it did not result in healthy looking new nails.

As long as the nail remains separated from the nail bed it can be infected repeatedly by fungi.

The only way such nails can recover, is by regrowth in unison with the nail bed, to its original splendour.

Fix-4-Nails® is a proven restoring aid for nail fungal damage and is probably the only product that addresses these unsightly nail conditions in an effective ‘dual-action’ way, and visible results can be seen after 3-4 weeks after treatment is started.
